WMG Development (WMG) announced the groundbreaking of The Shoppes at Orange Blossom in Naples located at the NWC of Oil Well Rd. and Big Corkscrew Dr. in Southwest Florida.

“WMG is eager to deliver The Shoppes at Orange Blossom to the residents of East Collier County,” said Aryel Perring, Regional Development Director at WMG. “Our goal is to deliver a first-class development, inclusive of a diverse mix of retailers, that will meet the needs of this growing community.”

The future shopping center, consisting of more than 60,000-square-feet, will be anchored by Publix and joined by local, regional and national brands including Publix Liquor, Great Clips and Le Nail Salon, among others. The project includes adjacent outparcels that will provide additional retail, medical and dining experiences to the community. More than 200 jobs will be created with the opening of the Publix-anchored shopping center, enhancing the local Naples economy.

“The Shoppes at Orange Blossom is officially under construction. After the commencement of site work and vertical construction later this month, WMG is poised to reinvent the nineteen-acre parcel of land to create a significant community amenity to Naples,” said Reese Kiple, Senior Construction Manager at WMG. “We will collaborate with Collier County to deliver the center on time and create a multi-functional development that is both a beautiful and useful addition to the surrounding area.”

The grocery-anchored development is located at the entrance to Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park, a 150-acre regional outdoor park and entertainment destination funded by Collier County. The project is in short proximity to new housing developments, such as SkySail Community and the proposed Town of Big Cypress, as well as existing master community, Ave Maria.

Adjacent to The Shoppes at Orange Blossom is a new multifamily community called Emblem at Orange Blossom, a 17-acre luxury apartment home community by Charlotte-based Quarterra. The residential development will feature 384 apartment homes, further driving growth and demand to the area.  The community is scheduled to begin construction in September 2024 for delivery the 1st quarter of 2026.

“Grocery and service retail is the best complimentary use to multifamily because it serves as a critical need to our residents,” said Jason Graham, Senior Vice President of Development at Quarterra. “We collaborated with WMG to support the Shoppes at Orange Blossom and look forward to the convenience and services the new development will offer to the residents of Emblem at Orange Blossom for years to come.”

This shopping center development is currently under construction and is estimated to open in late Summer 2025.
